NEW Zealand-born TV soapie star Michala Banas is one fan who can hardly wait for the action to start she loves her rugby and loves to party, and this Easter she will be in Sevens heaven.

"Being born in New Zealand I love my rugby but having moved to Australia when I was 11 and with my father being English I feel my loyalties are torn between Australia and the Kiwis because I have no sympathy for the Poms," the McLeod's Daughters series star said.

"But regardless of who is playing I'll be enjoying myself because the Sevens has a real carnival atmosphere to it. In New Zealand everyone gets dressed up and people make a real party of the event."

One Kiwi supporter who will join the burlesque nature of the tournament is Rudy Timoteo.

"Me and my mates are getting dressed up in 1980s spandex," the 32-year-old financial consultant and Adelaide resident of three years said.

"I've been a bit starved of rugby lately so I can't wait to see the games live."
